Doobieology is a personal journal. Ever since the start of the second season of this podcast, my goal has been to create a platform where I review the best of books, movies, and TV shows, in the most fun way I can, while also hoping to connect with teenagers within the high school demographic who are as interested and intrigued about the art of media as I am. This podcast is a tribute/ appreciation of journalism. An art.

Hello! This episode is a continuation of the Q&A series I have been doing. I ask questions on Doobieology social media, and you guys are able to put your responses for a chance to get them answered on the episodes! I very much look forward to doing this more. **APOLOGIES ABOUT THE POP FILTER THROUGHOUT THE EPISODE. I COULD NOT FIND IT TODAY, AND DECIDED TO RECORD WITHOUT IT. SIMPLE MISTAKE.** Otherwise, enjoy!
Hey everyone! I’m back after a long……break. I recently just graduated from high school, and have been working on my writing for my upcoming job, so I haven’t had time to write for this. But I’m back! This episode is about the 2002 Oakland Athletics, and how Billy Beane and Paul DePodsta shaped their team into one of the best teams in the league, with a very low payroll. This episode is based off of the amazing book about Moneyball by Michael Lewis, and the movie featuring Brad Pitt. I’m glad to be back making episodes! Hopefully you guys are happy as well.
Hello! In this short review, I discuss The Boy In The Striped Pajamas. It was a novel released in 2006 by John Boyne, and I discuss the unrecognized troubles the novel brings to Holocaust Education.
Hello! Welcome back. On this edition of A Deftones Story, I talk about their 2012 studio album, Koi No Yokan. It is classified under the alternative metal genre, and it happens to be my favorite album ever! I talk about how much the album means to me on this very episode.
Hey everyone! On the first edition of Doobieology shorts, I covered the infamous Colleen Hoover novel, It Ends With Us. I think….a lot about this novel, and they aren’t good thoughts. This will be the first of many short reviews to keep content at a maximum while I produce episodes, but in the meantime, enjoy! Don’t forget to rate and share the podcast as well! :)
Hello, and welcome back! On this returning episode, I discussed Fight Club! Fight Club was a novel released in 1996 by Chuck Palahniuk, and later adapted into the beloved 1999 film by David Fincher, starring Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham-Carter. It is misunderstood within the grand scheme of media, as it’s messages are not taken seriously. It is satire right in our faces. What do I mean? Check out this episode!
Hello! In this episode, I discuss The Perks of Being a Wallflower! There are major themes in the book and film I talk about that most of us teenagers can relate to, and also I share why I think it’s the most authentic high school story. I hope you enjoy this deeply personal episode!
Hey! This isn’t really an episode, more of a segment of my appreciation for Quentin Tarantino and his dialogue. He’s genuinely one of my favorite directors, and his dialogue is probably his standout feature that inspires me.
Welcome back! On this episode, I answer questions that were asked by friends and fans on my social media platforms, and explain future ideals for the podcast in the process.
Hello! Welcome back! On this episode, me and my friend Jack (whom I will call Crutcher for future reviews since I know 8 billion Jacks), review Iron Man! The movie released in 2008, and launched Robert Downey Jr back into super stardom, along with launching the MCU into its well-known fame! We hope you guys enjoy, and Crutcher will be back for more!
Welcome! On this episode, I cover Frank Ocean’s first studio album, channel ORANGE! I personally believe it is Frank’s best album to date, and I explain why in this very episode!
Welcome back to Doobieology! In this episode, I talk about Quentin Tarantino’s 9th film, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood! It is my favorite Tarantino film, and a really fun watch…plus a fun read! It was novelized in 2021 by Tarantino, and it happens to be one of the most fun books I’ve read. I talk about the film’s setting, characters, and plot in this episode, along with the novel. The Doobieology intro was done by my friend, Jack Thompson as always!
On this edition of Doobieology, I covered the 1989 album from Taylor Swift, released in 2014! 1989 is one of her standout albums, and one of her most successful as well. I talked about it’s production, the singles released, and the acclaim it has gotten over the years. The new intro for Doobieology was done by my friend, Jack Thompson! Thanks so much, Jack! The Doobie for Boobies link I mentioned in the episode is right here! https://gofund.me/d434d804. Any donation is awesome! Together, we can end the trouble of breast cancer!
Hello everyone! In this episode, I review the American Psycho novel, and film, and give my thoughts on which I think is better and why. This will be the first episode of many novel and film comparisons for this phase, so strap in! *TW*: This episode contains some content that may be triggering or may hurt some stomachs. Don’t listen if you don’t want to hear about some of the things I talk about when reviewing these pieces of media. Song used in the opening segment is Hip To Be Square by Huey Lewis and The News!
THE 18TH AMENDMENT DEALT WITH PROHIBITION. THE 13TH AMENDMENT WAS SLAVERY. I AM NOT DUMB. Welcome back to Doobieology! In this episode, I talked about the themes of The Great Gatsby, and why it’s such a significant piece of art to our society today. This is more of a novel review, rather than a typical novel and film comparison. Just ignore that slight error in the intro.
Hey! This is just a bonus episode, where I talked about A Clockwork Orange! Written in 1962 by Anthony Burgess, it is considered one of the most influential short stories, and also an insane film by legendary director, Stanley Kubrick! I will have more on this episode at a later date, as this was recorded back in August for an intended episode with my friend Jack where we compared the film and novel. It will come out sometime later. For now, enjoy my intended section!
Just a little short of me thanking everyone for making this podcast one year strong! I also explain why I haven’t been able to get to episodes like I want to. I’ve been incredibly busy, but they’re coming!
On this edition of my 007 Reviews, I review Skyfall (2012)! Daniel Craig’s third outing as Bond is critically acclaimed, and rightfully regarded as one of the best Bond films. I review the film’s plot, cinematography, and it’s production.
Hello everyone! Welcome to the official Phase II! In this episode, I explain where I’ve been and why I’ve decided to rebrand the podcast going forward. I talk about what I will be doing here on out, and how I will be formatting everything. Tune in to find out more!
In this short, but descriptive episode, I talk about the history of Pride month, and LGBT pride in general! Also in the second half, I discuss things you can do to help raise awareness for pride. For those listening, Happy Pride!
