We chatted with Tessa about how having a baby brought with it new experiences of time; how the ‘baby bubble’ can occlude u from society in potentially interesting ways; some of the occult aspects of sleep deprivation; what it’s like to live in such close proximity to a baby - if this makes u more stupid n why this might b a good thing!

Did Two Ever Exist?', published in On Sociality & Idiocy: www.doggerland.infoMadeleine describes her experiences of being in 3's, whether romantically, artistically, living together, or a confluence of all three. We discuss the multiple ways being in 3 challenges the couple-form, but where also the limits of access to recognition may emerge. While the essay focuses on the moments of falling apart, we also talk with Madeleine about the possibilities of reframing "failure" in relationships, and the widening potential of the ever-forgiving, loving-gaze beyond your partner, to society as a whole, enabled by the third.
