61: How do you build a relationship with leadership (with Sam Robertson)

Buy my game! I create a game from the ground up specifically for founders 🤯 it's called Pitch Please and I genuinely love playing it!

Prepare to hustle your way to the top in this cutthroat pitching showdown. Convince, charm, and con your way into the hearts and wallets of your competitors. Get ready to play the ultimate game of selling your soul for success.

The game is simple. Each round, every player matches a customer card with a product card and pitches the most absurd business they can imagine. The funniest and unequivocally worst idea wins.

THE GUEST

Sam Robertson is one of my oldest friends in the startup world and even though he probably didn't see it this way, my first ever competitor. Just like me, Sam started out his career by studying Civil Engineering in Brisbane, Australia. Sam started his startup journey with an edtech startup called Scooter Tutor in Australia that he scaled for years and that I absolutely saw as an early competitor. Sam then pivoted and took that business into the medtech space. After this, Sam spent years helping Trakis Kalinack to scale the multi -billion dollar organization, CloudKitchens through Australia and across the world. And now, Sam is the VP of Business Development at Carbon Robotics.
