PADI Adventure App, DSMB Diving, Social media and scuba diving

Rich Synowiec, host of the scuba diving podcast, discusses his efforts to improve the podcast by incorporating more video and visual elements. Rich explores various platforms such as YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Tumblr to reach a wider audience. He also expresses interest in becoming a PADI Ambassador Diver and shares his thoughts on the dive industry's outdated business model. Additionally, he mentions teaching a new distinctive specialty course offered by PADI called the Delayed Surface Marker Buoy program. In this episode Rich talks about his forays into social media and what he is finding related to scuba diving and social media. He talks about some of the PADI Updates and how the content of his videos is going to change from time to time across social platforms while keeping with the idea of the podcast only format. His youtube will be the pillar but most of the video and snippets wil be across platforms. Rich also talks about the challenges of social apps like the PADI Adventure App and the new (to him) DSMB Distinctive specialty from PADI ##scubadiving #diving #scuba #underwater #underwaterimaging #padi #ocean #dive #scubadivers
