Hello hello! The problem of “street children” is one of many developing countries and it’s no different in Haiti. As much as I knew it was a thing, I had forgotten about them until I came back here. It’s a problem that cannot be ignored… yet it doesn’t seem like a lot is being done about it. I’m still doing my research on that. I hope to find local and Haitian-led organisations working with these kids. If you are working for such an organisation, please let me know.
I’m looking forward to hearing your takes on this as well. Plis lanmou. Plis limyè ✨

Welcome back! Today, I’m discussing the art of having a “mennaj”. Maybe it’s because Haitian men like to take care of women (seeing them well and happy) but for many, having just one wife (term used loosely) is not enough. They NEED a side piece. Honestly, looking around and discussing it with other people from different generations, it sounds like they have accepted it 🤷🏾♀️ I still find it strange personally… what say you?

In this episode I give my take of the reoccurring yet unnecessary battle that the Haitian-American diaspora likes to being to the TL: the French vs Kreyòl debate. I tried to bring in some facts and what I think about it all. Hope you enjoy it. I’m looking forward to hearing your takes on this as well. Plis lanmou. Plis limyè ✨
