We are back with Depressy Episode #14! This week, we check in after some time off. Applying to residency has us thinking again about work/life balance!
Specifically, we talk about our eventual motherhood journeys, if/when we think we want to have kids, and how we think about our work and career journeys fitting in!
We also talk about parenting and what we have learned from our training (in theory!) and real-life experiences in our clinical work and babysitting jobs.

In Depressy Episode 12, Missy & Allie break down something called the “Motivation Myth.”
This is the idea that we often feel we need to be energized/excited/happy/motivated before we do something we enjoy.
For example – I need to feel happy in order to see my friends, I need to feel outgoing to attend a party, I need tofeel motivated to get out of bed.
Missy & Allie talk about what is wrong about this idea and how it can actually lead to and worsen symptoms of depression.
Whether you are feeling a little stressy/depressy or just want to learn more about science-backed tips for a happier life… listen up!
