Caledonia is a folk rock band from Fort Wayne, Indiana. They like spending time outside, cracking good dad jokes, and most importantly, writing and creating music for people to hear (and eventually love). You can find them on instagram @officialcaledonia to learn more about them and hear some more of their music.
Their first offering, the bedroom sessions EP, is available now to listen here: https://caledoniaband.bandcamp.com/releases
About the bedroom sessions EP:
"The bedroom sessions EP is a small collection of originals that are in decent demo form, mixed and mastered by the members of caledonia in bedrooms, living rooms, backyards, kitchens, cars, and anywhere else music might be listened too. Note that these are placeholders for more professional recordings to come soon, so they won't be studio quality; however, they were written, played, and created with love and gratitude for anyone who will listen. Enjoy."

The Christian Year is a profound exercise in the Church but is often shorten to Christmas and Easter in the Evangelical Church. This week, we sit down with Dr. Daniel Rife to talk about the Christian Year, Specifically the season of Lent. We talk about Holy Week, Ash Wednesday, and what this season is all about. This is part four of the Living Christ series going through each season of the Christian Year. The Christian Year is a great structure for worship for the Church and is a useful tool for pastors in ministry. Dr. Rife's book, Living Christ: Embodying Jesus' Life in Worship Through the Christian Year, lays out perfectly how pastors can integrate the Christian Year in ministry contexts.

Families can often be placed on the back burner in ministry. They may be forgotten all together if we are not careful. This week, we sit down with Dr. David "Dave" Smith as we dive deep into the topic of how we can prioritize our families while we are pastoring. As we jump in, our conversation was guided by a document that Dave has made available to us all! It is the Smith Family Values that they live by.

This week, I sit down with Dr. Jonathan Morgan on the topic of the importance of Classic Theological Education. In ministry, there is a lot of training that is required to be able to walk in the call that God has for us as ministry leaders. We dive into the importance of theological education and the difference between local classes and a Christian College. We also talk about orthodoxy and the way that universities, like Indiana Wesleyan University, help guide students in orthodoxy.

Daniel Rife to talk about the Christian Year, what it is, and dive into the first season of the Christian Year: Advent.
