The idea of God being on trial is something that only the Bible could come up with. The Islamic Koran has no such idea; the Muslim's Allah requires the worshiper to prostrate himself in a mindless, blind submission to His capricious will, which rides roughshod over humanity's feelings. Could some Adventists think of God that way?

Here one of God's messengers at Minneapolis makes his case on God's eternal purpose in the Sanctuary, and the high destiny of being an habitation of God through the Spirit. The prophecy of Ezekiel is still dependent on a people ready and willing to be made the dwelling place of the Spirit: "And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes" (36:23). 

The primordial vision of the passing of Christ from the Holy to the Holy of Holies in 1844, the beginning of the Great Day of Atonement for the Living. Our dramatic present is depicted in the last sentence: ”I saw one after another leave the company who were praying to Jesus in the Holiest, go and join those before the throne and they at once received the unholy influence of Satan” {Ellen White, Day Star-Extra, March 14, 1846).

Here is a short presentation about what has gone wrong in God’s family and needs to be corrected by the plan of salvation, before the great controversy could come to an end.

The Sanctuary is the center of the great controversy, and soon it will be proven that the finishing of the mystery of God was dependent, and has been determined, by the information provided to His remnant church, hidden in the gospel equation: „Christ came to make us partakers of the divine nature, and His life declares that humanity combined with divinity does not commit sin” (MH 180).

In Genesis 3 the human race lost the Glory, the Shekinah, the robe of righteousness. The union of humanity and divinity was broken. The Glory was gone. The temple of God was left desolate. Empty.

In Revelation 19 the Glory returns, the robe of righteousness is offered again. Humanity and divinity are combined again in the Marriage of the Lamb. The Sanctuary is cleansed, justified, restored to its rightful state.

Between 3 and 19 the human race is under the sign of Ichabod. Let us stop this crisis in the government of God. Let us make the Glory return in Its temple and carry the infamous Azazel into the wilderness.
