DC Diversity Dive Episode 7: Women’s Equality Day
What barriers do women face in achieving workplace equality?  Welcome to the latest episode of our DC Diversity Dive, a podcast in which our Diversity and Inclusion team aim to recognise and support cultural practices and celebrations. In today’s episode, we look at Women's Equality Day, observed on August 26th in the United States to commemorate the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which granted women the right to vote. The amendment was certified in August 1920, after a long and hard-fought struggle known as the women's suffrage movement. With guest speakers, Diane Eshleman, Sarah Brennan, and Lina Pinilla, we explore some of the difficulties people face and how to embody our value of ‘Be Direct’.
