This past Father's Day I was inspired by a friend's prayer and then our pastor's message. There's this weight of authority that comes with the word 'father.' Like any good thing in life, this authority can be twisted from its God ordained goodness into something wholly different. It's past time for a rekindling of true and good fathering in our culture. My prayer is that we would love this world the way that Father God loves this world. I am also thrilled to welcome my very first special guests to the podcast. Michael, Rorer, Trevor, and Alyssa are here to share in the music portion. The song turned out pretty well for a single take of a brand new song. Due to our limited time we only played it once to check the levels and then once to record it.  The song starts at 9:12.

This episode is about Psalm 23 and a song recently inspired from it.  I chose to share this song because I've been in a valley of late.  It does me good to remember that the valley is not my home.  I'm only passing through!  I hope you find the same peace in the midst of your troubles as I have.

In the Bible the church is described as a bride prepared to meet her groom, Jesus, in eternity. This song is written from the perspective of eternity where all here tears are wiped away, where she stands beautiful and holy despite her prior shortcomings. Jesus loves her and gives himself for her over and over. His extravagant love knows no bounds and empowers her to become the amazing bride he will know forever in eternity.
