I stumbled upon a book titled: Chicken Soup for the Soul - Stay at Home Moms
It has 101 stories in here to help us understand what other moms have had to deal with and how they got through it.
This season we speak on Decisions..
and Story #2 is from Wendy Walker. A woman with a law degree who was going to pursue a career as a criminal prosecutor but while attending college, she met her husband and began a family. Walked away from a job opportunity to become a full-time mom. Ten years later regret wanted to knock on her door. It came close but she didn't let it win!
On my spare time I am learning how to heal from my past; no matter what that might look like, if it happened 15 years ago or just a couple months ago. You should be able to tell with this short clip how much I have needed to overcome. As a little girl it was my father, as a young girl it was my step father, as a young adult it was trauma trying to infiltrate into my relationship with the person who is my husband today. We all have struggles but not everyone talks about them. The difference is, who I put above it all to help me overcome these struggles. Hope you do the same.
Thank you for pressing play!
Who is Jennifer?
Why is she starting in this new platform?
What can I gain from listening to her?
I hope to answer all of those and more questions to come. I am just a girl who grew up to be an amazing wife and mother and its easy to forget everything I have tried so hard to overcome in my life when life keeps throwing the next big thing. I once wanted everything to be perfect and let the tears that I cry be invisible, but I believe if I walk through this, its to pave the way for the next person who will have to walk through this. I have always believe that someone somewhere out there needs to hear your story. I want to start telling it while I heal so you know that if I can make it.. you can make it!
