With this vision of the temple, our worship should be transformed to be radically God centered, and we should seek to be the temples of God's Holy Spirit spreading this living water of the gospel and transforming the world around us.

God tells Ezekiel that he is going to take away his wife, and he commands him not to weep and wail as he mourns but to keep silent. This seems harsh to us if we think that God's ultimate plan is to give us an easy and carefree life, but God commands the hard thing of Ezekiel because he was not willing to spare his own son for us all.

Ezekiel is using every literary device in the book to try and communicate the atrocities that the people have committed against God. However, despite this sin, God remains faithful and will work to bring them to greater heights than ever before through his grace in Jesus Christ.
