Morenike is talking to her younger brother Dimeji (Dee-May-Gee) on Facetime when the internet connection goes out. Morenike explains to her Dad that the internet isn’t working when she begins to wonder, “How does the internet even work?” 


While troubleshooting the tech problem with her Dad, checking the wifi connection, resetting the router, and connecting back to the internet, Morenike gets a crash course in digital literacy.

Morenike is working on a school art assignment when she accidentally spills water on it and believes she’s ruined her project. Morenike begins crying hysterically and immediately wants to give up. Our defeated hero decides to show the art piece to her Father, who encourages her to use emotional smartness to identify her feelings, calm herself down, and make a plan to rescue her project.
