Initially following his family’s passion, he studied medicine at University of Edinburgh but in this episode he lets us know how he segued into writing. Barnaby Kay was born into a theatrical family. His younger brother Adam is in the business, his grandfather, Arthur Kay, was a leading light in community theatre in Northumbria, and his father was the actor Richard Kay. Barnaby went to drama school but left before completing his course as his father's agent secured him an audition with the Royal Shakespeare Company, which he successfully passed, debuting with them in the play 'A Jovial Crew', and returning to work with them on several occasions. Mark Jenkin is a Cornish director, editor, screenwriter, cinematographer and producer known for writing and directing the film Bait which had been brewing in his mind for the best part of twenty years. Beautifully shot on black and white 16mm film, Bait tackles the struggles of the fishing industry in Cornwall and the knock-on effects of modern tourism for the people who live there. The film earned him a BAFTA Award for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer. He is currently in post production for his latest feature, Enys Men. Guardians of the Galaxy; Lego Star Wars; Spyro; Gears of War 5; Call of Duty. If you’ve watched an animated show or played video games you’ve likely heard Trevor Devall’s distinctive voice. Trevor spent 15 years in Vancouver's voice-over industry as an animation and commercial voice actor, before continuing his career in Los Angeles. He is a prolific voice artist, having performed in hundreds of animated productions including television movies, series, feature films and video games. Trevor hosts a podcast called Voiceprint with Trevor Devall and Guests where he chats with and interviews fellow Vancouver-based voice actors. Amy Jackson started her casting career as full time assistant to Sasha Robertson, where she took a huge amount of responsibility in the busy commercials department, running and organising casting sessions for a wide variety of well-known and high-quality products and working with some hugely respected directors and producers. It was here that she found her love of casting and after a year, decided she wanted to go freelance and focus more on casting Film and TV projects. Andrew Cumming is a Scottish film and television director from Fife. His National Film and Television School graduation film Radiance, was nominated for best film at the BAFTA Scotland New Talent Awards, while his claustrophobic psychological drama Beneath won Best Student Film at the Courant 3D festival in France. In 2015 he directed Oakwood, a short drama exclusively for the BBC iPlayer, as well as Kai, funded by i-D and VICE, which has been viewed over one million times on social media. In 2017 Andrew directed the explosive 15th anniversary episodes of BBC Scotland’s River City, and in 2018 directed three episodes of BBC3’s acclaimed thriller Clique (S2) and the last two episodes of Cold Feet series 9 for ITV.
