Jackintheway is the culminating artistic identity of rapper/singer/songwriter & hypercreator Jack Rome. MAi is an independent recording artist, songwriter, producer and world builder. As an early adopter of music NFTs, MAi has leveraged tech to engage with a crew of supporters that participate in a game he has created. In this episode, we explore how and why he chose to create music NFTs in the first place, as well as talk through the process of making a physical Nintendo cartridge game as a reward to NFT collectors.
On his website, MAi expresses that "there's nothing to fear in a WORLD you create," and our conversation definitely goes into the spiritual territory from which that statement arises. MAi doesn't take the world of music NFTs and business too seriously though: he sees it all as a "game" to be played however you want to, while the most important part is always creating the music.
