Seize the Frame! Basquiats (no longer) in Orlando

This week, ‘Crimes Against Art’ hosts Michelle and Isobel discuss one of the most bizarre art crimes of the year, the Orlando Museum of Art’s exhibition of almost entirely fake works by Jean-Michel Basquiat. After establishing where exactly Orlando is, Michelle and Isobel piece together the crime through court documents and poetry readings. There is a cameo from Fedex, as well as a bizarre revelation via LinkedIn comments. The podcast also raises more existential questions such as what happens when a curator curates fakes? Listen in as Michelle and Isobel try to make sense of the case, although you may leave with more questions.
