I don't know who teaches that the best way to get clients is to send tons of cold pitch emails or DMS, but like... whyyyy tho? 😂
Sales is about relationships, and you are not developing a positive relationship with a cold pitch of any kind, whether it's an email, a DM, or a carrier pigeon into some stranger’s house, okay?
Think about the energy expenditure of sending 100 cold pitches to get maybe 1 response. That would be an average “conversion rate.” That sounds demoralizing and a terrible ROI in terms of energy out to energy in.
If you’re committed to cold pitches even if they’re not working for your sales, maybe it’s because you’d prefer to hide and don’t actually want to talk to anyone or close any new sales...
But if you DO want conversations, sales, to see your effort turn into new, let’s choose another strategy.
This your new mantra:
You do not need leads.
What you need is friends.
You need REAL relationships that are built on mutual benefit, kindness, support, love, and care.
Focus on expanding your network, one awesome human at a time, and marketing will start to feel easier.
Referral business will gradually begin to flood in.
And you won’t have to “push” or force any of it.
So if you do decide to send a “cold” email or DM -- don’t pitch!
Let it be about the relationship, and focus on making a new friend instead.

Finding the right price and confidently stating is can be the HARDEST thing as a copywriter. I know. I've been there myself, and I speak with so many copywriters who say "I know I'm undercharging but I don't know how to correctly price my services."

It can be scary to say yes to something that stretches you, not just financially but in general. I’ve been there myself MANY MANY MANY times.
Case in point:
Last year, I hired a personal trainer for the first time in YEARSSS.
This decision meant saying NO to a lot of other things that I’m used to spending my budget on (bye-bye fancy lattes and sushi).
I even started crying a little bit when I said yes to hiring him -- he was so confused 😅-- but it’s because giving myself the gift of that support made me emotional.
It can be tough to receive support, especially support that stretches your comfort zones. Choosing it gave me a rush of fear and gratitude. Hence the tears.
And recently, I made another big decision and chose to invest in a business program even though I don’t have all the external evidence yet that the money is going to show up. I don’t always know HOW it will work out, I just keep listening to my intuition and trusting that it will.
Sometimes, that’s just how it is.
You take the leap before the net appears. You decide to TRUST.
It’s scary, it can make you emotional, and yet, something inside you just knows that it’s right.
If you’re in this space right now, trying to decide:
Ask if this choice, though scary, will EXPAND you to new levels in life.
And remember: You CAN’T fuck it up!!!!
All decisions are good decisions, so don’t stress yourself thinking it over for too long.
