If You Only Had One Chance to Go Viral What Would You Do?
Today's guest got cancelled. . . and she did it to herself.

Marley Jaxx is a YouTube strategist for business owners. Earlier this year she had 40k subscribers on her on YouTube channel, and she was getting tired of content that was the "same 'ol, same 'ol."

So she decided to make something HUGE. Something that was bold and daring, and different.

She made what she calls a "docustunt," and we talk about her experience in this episode.

Stuff we talked about in the episode:

Create What Matters
The 1 Mistake Holding You Back From 1 Million YouTube Subscribers
Today we’re talking to a Creator named Jordan Beau who grew his YouTube channel to 1 Million subscribers before he was 20 years old.

Jordan gets into a lot of details and tactics about how to grow on YouTube in this episode.

But most important theme of the episode is actually the biggest mistake Creators make on YouTube that’s holding them back.

And it might surprise you.

Turns out, focusing all of your effort on getting a channel to 1 Million subscribers is NOT the best way to get to 1 Million subscribers.

Do Creators Have to Be Business Owners | How Dappz Remains Creative While Operating a $20 Million Dollar Business
Do creators have to be business people?

The hardest part about being a creator is making money.

Today is part 3 of my conversation with Dappz from Dappz sports.

Dappz Sports has 200,000+ live viewers on his stream PER DAY.

Dappz the creator puts out consistent content across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram every week.

So how does he remain creative while operating a business?

For Dappz, the answer is to hire executives and even other creators.

He talks about how his company was built and it's structure in this episode of Create What Matters.

Create What Matters
From Drug Addict to TikTok Millionaire: Dappz' Story of Money, Drugs, and Fame
Today we’re talking about Money, Drugs, and Fame with a Tik Tok Millionaire.

In last week’s episode, Dappz told us about how he does 200 thousand views per day on his Tik Tok live streams.

But before he was a content creator he was an addict.

Now - I’ve never been addicted to drugs. But many of the successful people I’ve met are addicts.
If it’s not drugs, it’s money, or fame, or work.

And, in a way, Dappz is 10 years sober. But he’s still an addict.

I think the most important question is:

Is it possible to achieve the success that we’re all after WITHOUT that addict trait?

Is it possible to have a healthy relationship with money? With our loved ones?

Or do you have to give up everything to create something that matters?

This is Dappz’ story

Create What Matters
How Dappz Went From Struggling Creator to Making 2 Million Dollars Per Month Going Live on Tik Tok
Imagine opening the TikTok app, tapping "go live" and having 200,000 people show up to give you money.

That's what happens every single day to the guest on today’s episode.

Dappz, like many other creators, spent years trying to build a following and make money creating content wiith little to no success.

His breakthrough came when he discovered live selling on Tik Tok only a year ago.

Today he makes nearly $2 Million dollars per month going live on Tik Tok.

Now... Dappz isn't the first live seller I've ever come across, but none of them ever wanna talk about it.

Live selling is this underground cash cow for creators, but the creators who make a lot of money doing it . . . they don’t want to let the secret out.

It’s important though
.
Cause live selling is, by far, the fastest I've ever seen a creator go from nothing to life changing amounts of money.

So I found someone who would tell us how it’s done.

And it just so happens that he’s one of best live sellers on the internet.

Here’s our conversation with Dappz

Create What Matters
Which TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Creators Should You Be Studying to Make Better Content, Grow Your Audience, and Make More Money
Have you ever asked yourself “who is my favorite Tik Tokker’s favorite Tik Tokker?”

Most likely it’s not because you’re wondering if your favorite creator is into some weird shit

Hey - maybe they are - no judgement

More importantly, you know that your content is inspired by your favorite content creators.

It stands to reason that their content is also inspired by their favorite creators

Who is the Obi Wan Kenobi to your Obi Wan Kenobi?

It’s an important question because you know that taking inspiration from that person has lead to success for at least one other person.

So it could inspire you to create better content, build a bigger audience, and most importantly make more money.

See the brands that your favorite creator and their favorite creator are collaborating with are the brands that you’re going to collaborate with in the future.

Those are the brands you need to build an audience for.

Those are the brands you need to be able to create value for.

So today, we’re breaking it down.

Our hosts are talking about creators they take inspiration from, what they’ve learned by watching other creators, and how they copy the blueprint of other successful creators without ripping them off.

Today’s episode is short, but it’s important.

Because once you know what kinds of creators you should be studying, and how to study their content. You can unlock the same growth they’ve achieved.

Create What Matters
You Can Make Money as a Small Creator + How Kaycee Davison Grew to 100k followers on TikTok by Being Uncomfortably Vulnerable
Have you ever experienced something so terrifying that you, as a person are forever changed. From that moment onward, you can never go back to the person you were.

Today I’m having a conversation with this show’s co-host, Kaycee Davison.

Kaycee is one of the smartest and most driven business minded creators I’ve ever met.

She made more money as a creator with only a few thousand followers than many influencers who have hundreds of thousands of followers make.

She has done work with Pepsi, Kind snacks, Barstool sports, and she even manages our other co-host Jack who has 800k followers on Tik Tok.

Despite all that, if I had to choose only one thing that I’ve learned from Kaycee. . . It’s that being real matters.

Like Kaycee, I struggle to be vulnerable in my content.

I always want to be the expert.

Or I want to make people laugh.

Or I want to entertain them.

Kaycee has a similar story, she wanted to be the picture perfect Instagram creator that is super fit, travels the world, and lives the life everyone wants.

But when her life changing moment happened. The moment she could never go back from. . .
She decided to take a risk, and be vulnerable.

And it turns out that the content she created mattered.

It mattered to a lot of people.

People who were going through the hardest time in their lives.

This is her story.

Create What Matters
Create viral Tik Toks | How JackyVC Grew to 800k Followers on Tik Tok + How to Monetize a Tik Tok following
How does something go viral?

How does someone go from zero followers to 100,000? Or even 1 Million followers?

Tik Tok is a land of massive opportunity for creators, but how do you make a viral video there?

And even if you can make a viral video, do you want to?

Today I’m having a conversation with two creators with unique stories, and two very different kinds of Tik Tok audiences.

Kaycee Davidson grew her following in the worst way possible. The way nobody wants to grow a following.

She was an instagram content creator when her boyfriend got diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at the age of 25. She needed an outlet, but didn’t feel that her audience would be interested in that part of her life. Something that is incredibly common for creators. So she started a Tik Tok account under a different name as a way to use her creativity to process what she was going through.

It turns out that 100,000 people were interested in following her story.

Jackson Lee (or JackyVC on Tik Tok) has grown a tik tok following of nearly 800,000 people. He did this the same way a lot Tik Tok creators do it. Trends. Except instead of following trends, he creates them. But how does one go about creating a trend, and more importantly is it worth it. If everyone has followed you for such a superficial reason, is the audience valuable?

Something you might notice about Kaycee, Jack, and Myself is that we’re incredibly different types of people with different backgrounds.

We’ve come together working for a company called Andar who is the sponsor of this show.

This is part one of a three part conversation with Kaycee and Jack, after that we will be continuing to bring creators onto the show to tell their stories and share what they’ve learned along the way.
