This week we are joined by the host of the podcast, “Real People, Real Talk”, Pastor Paul Calcote. Paul is a young adult pastor based in Houston, TX. Paul joins us to talk about faith and therapy. He also gives us good advice about surviving and thriving in faith and mental health.

This week we try to unpack why mental health isn’t seen as a black thing. This is a quick episode.

This week we are joined by Paige. We discuss battling body dysmorphia. We talk about how it affects us. Paige discusses her battle with it, and the coping tools that she has learned.

Reverse! This week Marty interviews Amanda. She opens up about her battle with depression, and the things that bring her joy.

This week we are doing something a little different. Amanda is interviewing Marty. He opens up about his life, mental health, and thoughts on relationships.

This part 2 of our conversation with Angel and Rodd. We talk about preparing yourself for dating, blind dating, and ghosting. Rodd and Angel also give Marty advice to help with his dating slump.

Angel is a 23-year-old hospitality management graduate from East Carolina University with a passion for event planning. Born and raised in North Carolina by her parents who’ve been married for over 20 years. In her spare time, she loves watching horror movies or the Harry Potter franchise, creating YouTube content, spending time with her dog Luna, and consuming anything that comes between a fork and a plate. At 24 years old, Rodd truly defines “ living life to the fullest figuring it out one day at a time.” As a Professional, Rodd manages program operations for NASA and Lockheed Martin and spends his free time as a Bachelor taking on Central Florida one day and date at time!
