In Acts 5, we see that God sets the apostles free, freedom to be bold in proclaiming the gospel, even when it is costly. In contrast, the religious leaders are blinded by pride and fear. They miss the powerful truth unfolding before them: the risen Lord Jesus is at work through the apostles. Peter's words, "We must obey God rather than men," serve as a fitting summary of the passage.
