Kicking off season 2 is an award-winning poet, an artist, columnist, activist, author, podcaster, Stephen King scholar, librarian and all-round good human being...it's Scott Woods!
Scott is known in the world of Stephen King for his lecture on King and the Magical Negro, which we discuss in this chat and is at the heart of Scott's King book of choice - 1996's The Green Mile. We chat about what a magical negro is, where King regularly goes wrong with his portrayal of Black characters, but also where he gets it *right*. On top of that, we chat poetry, and King's influence of Scott's writing - which is not insignificant.

Thomas is known for his Stories With Horror & Heart Series, as well as other terrific stories such as Voodoo Child, The Potted Plant, and The Window.
