Compassionate Capitalism: Our Amway Journey

As Amway Business Owners for 30 years, we sometimes hear erroneous, even scurrilous, observations about our business. This saddens us because Amway is so close to our hearts. We decided to start this blog when I spoke to a customer about Amway's Social Commerce platform. He replied: "No. I know all about Amway." But, as Einstein observed: "Anybody can know. The point is to understand." From our personal experience, we hope to correct misconceptions and offer insights into Amway that are not immediately apparent. It's been quite a journey and we've enjoyed taking the road less travelled.

Compassionate Capitalism: Our Amway Journey
Amway, Compassionate Capitalism, Due Diligence and Rich and Jay's Legacy

Due diligence is not pumping a corporate name into Google. Social media has been termed 'the toilet of the internet.' Anybody can say anything they like about anybody without any accountability or responsibility, regardless of the damage they cause to innocent people. This podcast, the seventh episode in the series, is intended to ensure people know how to do their due diligence about the Amway Corporation and the Amway Business Opportunity in order for them to make an informed decision. The broadcaster, an Amway Business Owner for many years, speaks from considerable experience, firmly believing Amway and its worldwide networks are one of the most important forces for good in the world today. This series is based upon Albert Einstein's observation: "Anybody can 'know'. The point is to understand". ow much do YOU know about Amway?

Compassionate Capitalism: Our Amway Journey
6) AMWAY & COVID-19: COMPASSIONATE CAPITALISM IN ACTION

Amway's social impact initiatives are more than obligatory, one-off or impulsive, well-publicised charitable or philanthropic acts of giving. Indeed, out side of the ABO force itself and those directly impacted, there uis very little publicity.  The reason? "It's just who we are." The Covid epidemic is clear witness of this.

Compassionate Capitalism: Our Amway Journey
1) THE AMWAY SALES & MARKETING PLAN. "A MIRACLE. A WORK OF GENIUS."

As Amway Business Owners for 30 years, we sometimes hear erroneous, even downright scurrilous, observations about our business and business model.

This saddens us because Amway is so close to our hearts, it being a concept based upon the belief of co-founders Rich deVos and Jay van Andel in the virtues of free enterprise based upon the ideals of Compassionate Capitalism as outlined in Rich deVos's book of the same name.

This blog is based upon Albert Einstein's observation that: "Anybody can 'know'. The point is to understand." Therefore, from our personal experience, we hope to correct some misconceptions and provide some insights into our business model, starting with the Amway Sales and Marketing Plan, that are not apparent at first sight.

My wife and I have had quite a journey and we will never regret having taken the road less travelled.
