Building community capacity to improve access to autism health services
Autism prevalence has increased over 400% in the past several decades but our service systems have not kept pace. Consequently, children are waiting months to years to access diagnostic evaluations which further delays access to needed interventions. Building capacity of community primary care teams can improve access to early autism evaluations and provide connections to life-changing interventions and resources that support optimal child development and family wellbeing.   Website that includes a video about Dr. McNally's research: https://medicine.iu.edu/pediatrics/specialties/health-services/health-equity-through-autism-research-translation
