We’re finally back, after a month full of scheduling difficulties and other mishaps. Nath discloses that he’s returned to the world of regular employment, which may not bode well for the release schedule. Drew tells us about his upcoming big move. We discuss what it’s like to be The Night People, overmedicating children, comics that exemplify why they’re called the “funny pages,” “necks” according to my notes, and movie pitches and great movies, as well as movie release dates that Drew is definitely wrong about. We might even have gotten around to some of the recent news stories, if we stopped reprising “Sing Sing Sing” to fill time. We’re back to talk about robes and other podcast-appropriate clothing, the latest interview with Dianne Feinstein, mashups, how to get good service on food delivery apps, street jokes, and an explainer of one of the funniest tweets of all time.

We are back with a certified banger! We cover a whole lot of rap and rappers in our intro, then move on to some of the luminaries of conservative thought, like Steven Crowder and Rod Dreher. We discuss some of the stranger aspects of our upbringings, look at comedy through the lens of cultural landmarks like Ted Lasso, Patton Oswalt, Pauly Shore, and Carlos Mencia, and cover presidential assassinations and great multi-hyphenates of our time. We return to the discussion of rap and DJs several times throughout, and stand in solidarity with the WGA writer’s strike.

So this episode, we tried to record a couple of weeks ago but I had to leave early before we finished, so we only got half an episode or so in the can. Unfortunately, we couldn't meet up to finish the episode until recently. So you kind of have two separate episodes grafted together here, but it's practically episode-and-a-half sized, so it's worth the wait. Some of our topics include dudes and their qualities of rocking, James Joyce, television, Shrek raves, jobs and how to get them, what makes life worth living and whether it even is, and also just a segment where we list famous lesbians we've heard of. You'll want to stick with this one all the way through the end for one of the craziest stories you'll ever hear.

This week we continue our transition into a music podcast with a much funnier look at various artists and songs, mostly real ones, although we did imagine a world of little people country music cover bands. We also discuss Nath’s skill issues at poker, the comedy of Aziz Ansari and 30 Rock, the origins of asbestos, Shingy, arena rock, and have several extended discussions on the human anatomy. Plus, as you may have guessed, we get around to reading Justin Roiland’s DMs.

We had a big topic we wanted to discuss this week, but we ended up spending most of the episode ranking the Beatles’ #1 singles. So we’ll get to that topic next episode. We do talk about a few other things, but I don’t remember which ones we talked about on episode vs. after the episode. Body hair comes up, if that’s your thing. Hopefully you’ll at least be happy we’re releasing on a regular schedule again.

We are back at last! It turns out our long hiatus was at least partially for legitimate reasons. But a little time off has left us fresher than ever. We are finally back and one away from a hundred! This long-overdue episode took even longer to edit together, because I tried recording my part on my new laptop and I had brutal problems with my audio clipping. You’ll hear what I mean. Just appreciate the effort it took to put this episode together and make it listenable, and hopefully I’ve learned a valuable lesson about not trying to record quickly again.   The episode is a little short because Drew had to go to work. But we cover a number of worthy topics this episode, including updates on our employment and places of work, our birthdays and anniversaries, new frontiers in bad parenting, other items in the news, and the best of gun range reviews. Stay tuned for our upcoming 100th episode; we’re going to do our best to do something special there.

Welcome to another rare on-time episode. It’s our last one before Nath starts his new job, which (probably) means an even more intermittent recording schedule. In the meantime, enjoy some more of our song parodies, stuff Drew found on the internet, good and bad drugs, and counting fat stacks. Justin even contributes to this episode, by which I mean we read jokes he sent us over the past couple of months. Writing a longer description would mean listening to the episode, and I would rather get this out as soon as possible. Also, go celebrate Drew’s birthday with him on Monday if you’re in Houston.

We’re finally back after eventful times both for us and the world. Lots of recent notable deaths, from Queen Elizabeth to Jean-Luc Godard to Ken Starr to Mikhail Gorbachev. And, sadly, one of Houston comedy’s own, Scotty Peterson, gone far too soon. We were going to use some of this episode as a tribute to him, but that quickly derailed into a bit about ranking Houston comics by how much the community would mourn them if they died. We’ll try again next week, hopefully with some guests who will have more great Scotty stories. Other topics covered include job interviews, strange encounters with the KKK, Rights and Society, Jerry Springer, The Kids in the Hall, and one poster’s ranking of the world’s religions. And, yes, the Jim Carroll Band song comes up.

We’re back at last! Nath and Drew overcome various obstacles to bring you yet another fun episode! Among our topics: The films of Darren Aronofsky, the antics of Nancy Pelosi, the recent rash of “Italian mafioso actor” deaths, the Absolute Poker POTRIPPER scandal, Drew’s problems with chairs, and the best combination of pills to recover from dental work. Nath managed to get through the episode despite having a root canal in the morning, so send him love and/or money to show your appreciation. And because he had a losing session of poker that day.

We recorded this one while the World Series of Poker was going; Nath decided watching that was too important to pass up, if you were wondering why he interrupts, no-sells, or otherwise acts distracted during so many good bits this episode. But at least you can enjoy the sporadic commentary on the action. There’s actual comedy too, with talk about Jerry Lee Lewis, the Uvalde police department, someone called “Clock Lady,” the Drowning Lottery, the British, boy bands, robbing the Kwik-E-Mart, and the story that gives the episode its title-- plus a possibly even stranger story to follow it. Then we spend some time reading the funniest deleted tweets. I guess for the first minute Drew was only inaudible on our call and not his own recording. Also, I am a good editor, and Drew’s opinions about Malcolm X are entirely his own and do not represent the views of the other hosts.
