The Oregon Coast is a popular tourist destination, drawing millions of visitors every year. Accessible beaches, like those in Lincoln City, are high-traffic, multi-use spaces where human presence takes a toll on the coastal ecosystem. On the flip side, it’s the perfect location for an energetic group of retired teachers on a mission to continue educating people—and continue learning themselves.
