Ep. 95 - Stephen King's "IT" Comparison (my birthday/Halloween special)
Today is my birthday! To celebrate, I’m going to do a podcast on something I’ve wanted to do for a long time: Comparing the novel to the film of a movie I like. Now, I know that I've been pretty critical of Stephen King’s IT in other podcasts, but to be honest, it wasn’t until I read the novel (or rather listened to the audiobook) that I really loved the story. After talking to a million people about the differences and similarities (online and in person), I figured I would go ahead and make a podcast on it.
Now, there’s hundreds, if not thousands of blogs, pods and vlogs on the subject, so I’m not going to sound like I’m breaking the mold. But, I did have a lot of fun doing research and it’s MY birthday! There's tons of things I left out, and things I should have said but didn't, but that's how podcasting works: You can't win them all.
Enjoy! Also … Happy Halloween!!
If you’re not doing so already, please like and follow Classic American Movies on Instagram and Facebook. I do free movie giveaways, mini movie reviews and more! Also, I decided to dabble in making my own slasher film entitled “Bishop’s Day”. Check out the Instagram page for updates.
