In this episode, we talked to Shaun "Lucky" Corbett, a Charlotte, NC transplant from NYC. Shaun is a community focused barber, who became the first black barber to franchise his business in Walmart. Shaun's barbershop, Lucky Spot Barbershop, now has two locations in Walmarts in Charlotte, NC, and he plans to partner with Walmart to franchise a total of 300 Lucky Spot Barbershops in Walmarts across the U.S.! Lucky is a community activist, constantly giving back to the community and providing opportunities for the youth. Lucky has been shouted out by President Obama for his programs and work in the community. Lucky was even invited to the White House, and had an opportunity to meet with, then Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, and other community leaders. Lucky tells his entire story about how he went from Felon to Barber to Business Owner to Community Leader. You will truly enjoy this episode.
