The HCN has lost another eminent speaker and it concerns me greatly. According to figures there are only 40 first language Ho-Chunk speakers left and this doesn't bode well for the Nation.

The HCN is involved in a Secretarial Election as we speak. Absentee ballots have been mailed out and are awaiting your vote and signature. This hybrid election also involves voting at General Election. This is to insure that we get the 30% participation level that we need to change the Constitution.

Finally, D-1 is having a Special Election to fill the seat vacated by the resignation of Rodney Rave. There are 8 registered candidates. The election takes place on Monday, the 11th of August. Good Luck to all of the candidates
