From MAGA culture to church scandals, the reputation of the Church is in the gutter and the image of Christianity in America is in crisis. Instead of making disciples, it seems the American Church has made more apostates than ever. Most conversations surrounding the gospel talk about the physical pain, suffering and death that Christ experienced on our behalf. Today I want to talk about something else Jesus endured for our sakes, and that's humiliation. Some people think God is egotistical, but when we really take time to consider what it meant for the Creator to humble Himself and suffer at the hands of His own creation, the "egotistical" label simply doesn't stick.
