January 27th was a day of tremendous excitement, which we now mark with sadness as the date we said "goodbye" to Chuck. The 2-part finale, comprising 'Chuck vs. Sarah' (written by Rafe Judkins and Lauren LeFranc, and directed by Jay Chandrasekhar), and 'Chuck vs. the Goodbye' (written by Chris Fedak and directed by Robert Duncan McNeill), was a true love letter to the fans. Season 5 is alive! Very reliable sources (Ausiello, Variety, Deadline, and others) are reporting that against all odds, NBC will be renewing Chuck for a fifth season! NBC has not yet made an official announcement, but it could come at any time, and certainly by Sunday at 2pm, when they announce their fall line-up in a conference call.
