At this time of the year many Christians are involved in some form of spiritual preparation whether retreat, annual goal-setting, fasting or some basic form of reflection. Personally, I embark on all three with a spiritual- fast being the most significant as it informs on the other two. God’s is Spirit and those who want to worship Him must do so in spirit and truth. Man is flesh and those who relate to man must do so through the five senses. If God is spirit and man is flesh, and the two do not share any common language, how will man hear from God ? The answer is in Fasting.
