This is Part 2 of the Faith and Vaccines Discussion: Few topics seem to elicit stronger emotions or more opinions than the decision of whether or not to vaccinate. Between the loudest extremes, people with honest questions often feel ignored, misunderstood, or even ridiculed. Is it really that much of a risk to just opt out? How can we really know these vaccines are safe? And what about the ethical concerns regarding how they’re made? These are important questions—questions worth taking seriously. Our interest at LIM is to help you make wise decisions that are both true to our shared faith and based on accurate science. As such, we invited Dr Masego Moema-Madonsela, a bible-believing Christian like yourself, to help provide us with answers to these valid questions. Have a listen as we discuss how to navigate Faith and Vaccines, in a time of so much controversy.

The Bible gives us many examples of strong, independent women, one such woman comes from a very famous passage, and we have come to know her as the Proverbs 31 woman. While encouraging to read, the reality is that the modern-day Christian woman often finds herself surrounded with a stigma when it comes to being independent that the thought of living fully for God without a significant other seems and feels ungodly. Today, we sit down with an Independent Christian woman and talk about these stigmas, the fear of being an Independent woman, and the faith required to live wholeheartedly for God while waiting for your significant other.

With the rise of Instagram and the hashtag #bodypositive, there’s been a rising interest in body positivity as a movement. However just like there is a dark side to the internet, there is also a dark side to body image. Fortunately, we are now living in the times where being different is starting to be celebrated, but what we often don't talk about are the painful scars that we still carry that have led us here today. In this podcast, I am joined by my personal #bodypositive activist Cebile Magongo, who shares her struggles with overeating and how, despite the number on the scale, she still loved herself and always saw her spark - even when the world was trying to turn it down.
