Cheesesteak Suplex
Episode 12 - Welcome to the Genuardi Party

With one week to go before our Christmas Spectacular, this week, Cheesesteak Suplex is chock full of stories about camping, copious amounts of mashed potatoes, defunct supermarkets, song covers, and much, much more!

It’s important to nail these episode descriptions - everyone reads them - and one of the things we’re covering this week is how suspect memory can be, so apologies if something is missed.

What you don’t want to miss is this week’s It Came From Philly! We start the show with it, so it’ll be hard to do it (unless you skip to the wrestling section - which starts around the 57 minute mark)

And in that wrestling section, B.P. Burke shows off his wrestling memory by rattling off the match order of old Wrestlemanias, we discuss the passing of Jimmy Rave, the possible demise of Ring of Honor, and much more!

Episode 11 - Decemberists to Dismemberists

We’re tinkering with the formula a bit as we move on past the first ten episodes, and part of that tinkering is being more wrestling forward.

With that being said, this week, we discuss last weekend’s NXT War Games, and the rapid changes that the former black and gold brand.

From there, we go back in history and take a look at ECW’s two December to Dismember events. The first took place in ECW’s Golden Age, 1995. The second was the end of an era, as it was Paul Heyman’s final show as the creative head of WWE’s ECW revival.

But we haven’t gotten rid of everything! We’re still bantering, and, of course, there’s another rendition of It Came From Philly!

Episode 10 - Focal Yokels

It’s a wrestling-heavy episode this week, as we pick up where we left off a few weeks ago and discuss the history of NWA/WCW Starrcade after it was driven from his Thanksgiving home and shuffled to December from 1988 to the final one (we’re pretending those WWE ones didn’t exist) in 2000.

So get ready to hear all about The Black Scorpion, The Lethal Lottery, and much, much more in a super fun show!

Plus there’s the usual banter, and an eye-opening rendition of It Came From Philly!

Episode 9 - Ron Goldman's Peanut Chews

Another week, another super-sized episode full of hilarious banter and wrestling goodness.

And it starts with It Came From Philly, where we talk about a delicious product we may have spoiled in the episode title!

And then it's on to a discussion of a long-ago trip to church camp and the 90's Classic Boy Meets World.

On the wrestling side, about an hour and twenty minutes in, we imagine a scenario where AEW purchases Ring of Honor, and splits their roster in two.

All this and more on a super-sized episode!

Episode 8 - The Adventures of Papa Pachyderm and Big Spready

Wondering about the weird episode title?

You'll have to listen to find out.

This week, we continue talking Thanksgiving, add a little Black Friday, and declare a writer for Business Insider our mortal enemy.

On the wrestling side of things, we cover the history of Thanksgiving shows, from the annual supercards at Atlanta's Omni, through Starrcade, and all the way up to the formation of WWE's second oldest pay-per-view: the Survivor Series.

Episode 7 - On The Scrapple Heap

This episode was recorded on November, which everyone knows (well, maybe a few people know is National Scrapple Day!

It shouldn't be hard to guess what'll be covered on this week's It Came From Philly.

And it all snowballs from there - as we wind down a road that covers weather forecasters, ethnic pronounciations, cups of French Fries, and a whole lot more.

In the wrestling portion of the show (which begins around 45 minutes in), we look into what inspired some memorable things about famous wrestlers and memorable parts of their personas. If you ever wanted to learn the origin of things like Cactus Jack's Bang Bang, Randy Savage's Oh Yeah, or Hulk Hogan's entire act, you've come to the right place!

Episode 6 - Stealth Camping to Rasslin

No wheels this week, but Cheesesteak Suplex is back with another episode that’ll be music to your ears.

We’ve turned things upside-down, and we’re starting with some general banter, starting with a discussion of what we’ve been watching, and some things we’ve been getting interested in lately. With Halloween behind us, we also look toward Thanksgiving, and debate whether or not it merits its standing as a major holiday.

It Came From Philly finds a new home in the middle of the show, and this week’s edition will be a tasty treat!

And then, around the 1:00:47 mark, it’s wrestling time! This week, we’re taking a look at music in wrestling. Back in our day, WAY before themes were released on Spotify. Ok, WAY before the internet had music on it… or very many people, there were wrestling albums! Join us as we reminisce about some of our favorite classic wrestling songs. Come join the fun, or eat your heart out like Rick Springfield!

Episode 5 - Trick or Heat (The Wheel is Spun, The Deal is Done)

Happy Halloween from everyone at Cheesesteak Suplex!

And since this episode releases at the stroke of midnight on All Hallow’s Eve, we’re packing it full of spooky treats.

And we’re doing so by taking a break from our usual format and presenting the show in reverse order, starting with an edition of It Came From Philly that’s a Halloween staple (though many may wish it wasn’t)

After that, Jackson and B.P. discuss some more personal Halloween memories before launching into the wrestling portion (about 33 minutes in if you want to skip ahead).

What will they talk about? We don’t know! It’s at the mercy of the wheel! The wheel is spun, the deal is done: it’s a totally original concept!

Episode 4 - Chamber of Horrible

This week, Cheesesteak Suplex gets scary with the first of two Halloween-themed episodes.

And we’re trying something new (for us, at least): a watch-along. Get ready to fire up Peacock (or the far superior WWE Network if you’re outside the US) to watch the Thunderdome Cage match pitting Ric Flair & Sting against Terry Funk & The Great Muta from the very first Halloween Havoc.

And then we follow up with a much worse match: The Chamber of Horrors match from Halloween Havoc 1991.

But that’s not all! We’ll wrap things up with a look at classic Halloween episodes of TV shows new and old.

Episode 3 - Fig Feds (Playset Sold Separately)

This week, Jackson and B.P. discuss wrestling figures, fig feds, and more!

But the toy talk doesn't stop there. In the second half, a more wide range of toys are discussed: in particular, playsets!

Also: another delicious installment of It Came From Philly!

Episode 2 - Guilty Pleasures & Games, Oh My!

This week, Jackson and B.P. discuss wrestlers they liked that may not have been as well received by the public at large.

But that's not all! They also take a quick look at the history of wrestling video games, including their obsession with the create-a-wrestler function.

And then, it's on to everyone's favorite subject: food! More specifically, a very soup-centric segment.

Cheesesteak Suplex
Episode 1 - Welcome, Fresh Marks

Jackson and B.P. kick things off on the first-ever Cheesesteak Suplex by, well, explaining who the hell they are, what they've done, and why you should be listening.

From there, they delve deep into wrestling with a look at the wide variety of cage matches over the years, followed by their reaction to the news of WWE co-producing American Gladiators by discussing which wrestlers would make the best gladiators (and what their gladiator names would be).

From there, things get Philly-centric, and we discuss the downfalls of that region's accent and play our first edition of IT CAME FROM PHILLY!
