On today's Charmed City I sit down with Owner and Brewer of Checkerspot Brewing Company Judy Neff. Judy is a beer lover to her core and in this episode, I find out all about that.
We talk about Baltimore's craft beer community, the inception of Checkerspot and the process of creating a brewing company. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed the sour I was drinking during it.
We had a few technical difficulties with the audio so I apologize for that.
Checkerspot is located at 1399 S. Sharp St. in between Fed Hill and Pigtown, right by M&t Back Stadium.

On today's episode, I sit down with local rapper, activist and entrepreneur Greenspan. We talk about the Baltimore hip-hop scene, his career and what's on the horizon. It was really awesome for me to speak with someone whose music I've been listening to for about a year and a community member I truly admire.
This episode was so fun for me! I've been friends with Travis since I basically started doing comedy so getting to sit down and talk to him about his passion for photography was amazing.
We often take the people behind the lens for granted, so in this episode I wanted to really highlight the process and time it takes to, well, take good pictures. Objectively, Travis is one of my favorite photographers and I'm so excited to have all my listeners hear about his work and then go see it.
Check out Travis's Instagram and give him a follow: https://www.instagram.com/travismarshalll/
On today's episode I speak with my dear friend Ivana Greene about her role as Baltimore's Director for American Immersion Theatre, a national theatre company that puts on themed parties and specializes in murder mystery shows.
Ivana's experience as a comic, actor and improvisor has made her role with the theatre a perfect fit. We talk about what makes Baltimore's shows different and unique as well as the intricacies of the organization.
We finish the show by discussing her part time work as a standard patient at Johns Hopkins.
Enjoy!
This episode was EPIC! I sat down with the highly interesting Ari Pluznik. This episode could have easily been split into three parts because that's just how much Ari does. We start the conversation here in Baltimore to discuss Ari's work with the Creative Alliance, a community performance space showcasing theater, art & films . Then we move to Mozambique where we speak about Ari's time spent in the Peace Corp. Finally we come back home and touch on Ari's music and Baltimore's Music Scene.
For more info on the Creative Alliance visit their website: https://www.creativealliance.org/

Her vegan-friendly products can be found online or in either of her brick and mortar locations. I got to learn a bit more about Letta's process and the candle making/selling industry. Michael Furr is one of the funniest, nicest and most genuine people I know. On this episode you get a small taste of that! Michael put out his stand up special, Straight Acting in 2018 which is available on Amazon Prime and Spotify. Michael is currently producing, directing and acting in his 3rd improvised play Brain Sucking Aliens from Beyond the Moon at the Fells Point Corner Theater and hosts and produces Friday Night Stand Up every single Friday in the Lou Castello Room upstairs of Zissimos Bar in Hampden.
