Season 6 Episode 2Erie Brewing Co. Dave, Bret & Ben had the pleasure of talking with Kristy Melquist, regional sales manager, and Richy Britton, head brewer, from Erie Brewing Company. Erie's history goes back to 1993 when it opened as a brewpub, called Hoppers, and then transitioned into a full-time brewery in 1999. We had a great time talking about what drove each of them to Erie and what they each enjoy about their roles in the business. Kristy loves expanding the brand to different regions and her quote is the title of this episode, "Change the world one pint at a time." Richy enjoys the science behind brewing and having creative freedom to experiment with new ideas to bring something new for people to enjoy.
