Each offering – burnt, grain, peace, sin, and guilt – symbolizes different aspects of our relationship with the Lord. In Yeshua our Messiah, we find the ultimate fulfillment of these offerings and atonement for our sins, inviting us to live in closeness with God every day.

Today Rabbi Lawrence will share a message from this week’s Parashah Beshalach titled “The Battle Belongs to the Lord.” We will explore God's deliverance, the reality of spiritual warfare, and the balance between action and prayer. Just as Moses interceded while Joshua fought, we are called to stand firm in faith, engage in spiritual battle, and trust that the battle belongs to the Lord. A key verse is: “For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.” (2 Corinthians 10:3–4, ESV)

Rabbi Lawrence will share a message from this week’s Parashah Vayishlach (He Sent) from Genesis 32:3-36:43. The message is titled, “Israel Born Out of Struggle.” This sermon reminds us that Israel was born out of struggle—Jacob wrestled with God and emerged transformed. Throughout history, God’s people have faced trials, yet they have persevered and held on until the dawn of deliverance. Similarly, God calls us to embrace our struggles, for it is through them that He shapes us into overcomers. Hold on in faith, trusting that God’s blessing and purpose will come through the trials, just as they did for Jacob.

Rabbi Lawrence will share a message from this week’s parashah Chayei Sarah that is titled, "Faith and Real World Actions". The parashah begins with Sarah’s death and Abraham’s purchase of the Cave of Machpelah for her burial. At first glance, this might seem like a simple transaction. However, when viewed through the lens of biblical theology, the historical, spiritual, and legal significance of this moment becomes profound. This sermon explores how Abraham’s actions in this parashah and Eliezer’s journey to find a wife for Isaac reveal God’s providence and faithfulness. It will also reflect on the implications of these lessons for modern believers, especially in light of attempts to deny the biblical heritage of Israel. A relevant Bible passage is Hebrews 11:8-10 (ESV) - “By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he went to live in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God.”

This week's parashah is called "Lech-Lecha” from the famous passage in Genesis 12:1 where God called Abraham to “get going.” This was God’s first Great Commission to Abraham and we too, as disciples of Yeshua the Messiah are also called to “get going” in the third and final Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20). Today Rabbi Lawrence will take a look at several aspects of Jewish spirituality that invigorates our discipleship, our “get going” to serve the Lord in this world. A key verse is “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, immersing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Ruach ha-Kodesh, teaching them to observe all I have commanded you. And remember! I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”” (Matthew 28:19–20, TLV)

Today we will celebrate a belated 'Simchat Torah' (The Joy of Torah) which is a festival that marks the completion of the annual reading of the Torah and the beginning of a new cycle of readings. With joy and celebration, we will give thanks to God for his written Word, the Bible, as well as the Word of God made flesh, Yeshua our Messiah. Rabbi Lawrence will share a message titled, “Simchat Torah - Rejoicing in the Word.” Key verses: “I rejoice in Your word, as one who finds great spoil.” (Psalm 119:162, TLV) “And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. We looked upon His glory, the glory of the one and only from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14, TLV)

Today, on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, Rabbi Lawrence will share a message on Yom Kippur titled; "How Repentance Leads to Redemption.” We will explore the festivals of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur and discover how atonement is made for us today through Yeshua the Messiah.

A key verse is Deuteronomy 24:18 (TLV) - "But you are to remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and Adonai your God redeemed you from there. Therefore I am commanding you to do this thing.”
