But the purpose behind this miracle is much more than just satisfying physical appetites; it creates an opportunity for Him to teach them how to satisfy a much more meaningful craving.

Christians have peace with God, but we don’t always experience peace from God. In this passage, Paul describes how to transform our minds so we can live in this peace, regardless of whether our situation is peaceful or not.

If anyone should have been riddled with anxiety, it was Paul. Indeed, the Philippians also had every reason to be concerned. Yet Paul had found a way to experience the peace of God, despite his circumstances. In this remarkable passage, we will hear him explain how we can do the same.

When we think of Easter, we may think of bunnies and eggs, but we should think of snakes. That’s right, snakes. Understanding a snake story from the Book of Numbers can show us exactly why Easter gives us so much hope.

The reality is that every one of us is being influenced by others, and we are influencing others whether we are aware of this or not. Paul once again calls for unity in the church as they face outside persecution, he knows that inward conflict is likely to arise. The church in Philippi and we today are given the secret to unity and that is humility. Paul then points to the greatest example of humility ever and that is Jesus. We are challenged as followers of Christ to have the same mind as Christ.

It’s one thing to be saved by Jesus, it’s another thing to work that salvation out day to day. In this message, we look at what it takes to be a faithful disciple who stands in contrast to the world, shining like a light in the darkness.

While Paul was imprisoned for his faith, the Philippians were also suffering for theirs. How should they think about the persecution they were and would be facing? In a beautiful passage of teamwork and unity, he encourages them to press on together along with him.

Sometimes in our lives, we allow our difficulties to determine our mindset. Despite the circumstances Paul had found himself in, he remained positive because his heart and mind were rooted in Christ. Because of this mindset, Paul was joyful and graceful in the midst of suffering.

Since Paul was in prison, skepticism was rampant over his trustworthiness. He wants to assure the Philippians that everything that has happened to him has happened because he has been faithful to the gospel. In this message, we will examine this defense and what this Paul’s mindset produced.

The Philippians were incredibly generous and loving. Paul wanted them to continue excelling in this mindset, so he described to them where it comes from and where it ends up. As we read his prayer for them, we will commit to this same kind of love.

The Christians in Philippi had it hard. They were few in number and small in influence, but Paul had a lot of history with them and considered them instrumental to his ministry. This sets a beautiful example for our partnership.
