1 Timothy 1:12–17 [12] And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, [13] although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. [14] And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. [15] This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. [16] However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. [17] Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

2 Thessalonians 3:6–18 [6] But we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition which he received from us. [7] For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us, for we were not disorderly among you; [8] nor did we eat anyone’s bread free of charge, but worked with labor and toil night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, [9] not because we do not have authority, but to make ourselves an example of how you should follow us. [10] For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. [11] For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies. [12] Now those who are such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread. [13] But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good. [14] And if anyone does not obey our word in this epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed. [15] Yet do not count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother. [16] Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all. [17] The salutation of Paul with my own hand, which is a sign in every epistle; so I write. [18] The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

2 Thessalonians 3:2–5 [2] and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith. [3] But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. [4] And we have confidence in the Lord concerning you, both that you do and will do the things we command you. [5] Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.

2 Thessalonians 3:1–2 [1] Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, [2] and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith.

2 Thessalonians 2:13–17 [13] But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, [14] to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. [15] Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle. [16] Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, [17] comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.

2 Thessalonians 2:8–12 [8] And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. [9] The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, [10] and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. [11] And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, [12] that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Luke 14:12-24 - [12] Then He also said to him who invited Him, “When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid. [13] But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. [14] And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.” [15] Now when one of those who sat at the table with Him heard these things, he said to Him, “Blessed is he who shall eat bread in the kingdom of God!” [16] Then He said to him, “A certain man gave a great supper and invited many, [17] and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’ [18] But they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.’ [19] And another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.’ [20] Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’ [21] So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.’ [22] And the servant said, ‘Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.’ [23] Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. [24] For I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.’ ”
