The Mothers of all Chaos

We’ve spent a lot of time talking about our grief—but what about the women who had a front-row seat to it all? This week, we’re introducing you to the Mothers of All Chaos: Alice’s mum, Vicky, and Beth’s mum, Karen.

Losing our dads was one thing, but for them? It was watching their daughters go through it—while somehow trying to hold it together themselves. Alice and her siblings were adults when their dad died, while Beth was just 13, so their experiences (and their mums' experiences) were very different.

We asked the big questions—what it was like breaking the news, what they wish they’d done differently, and, most importantly, were we really that angry? (Spoiler: yes. Apparently, we were.)

It’s emotional, it’s honest, and, somehow, it’s still got its fair share of chaos. Oh, and in the process? Our mums became best friends. Of course they did. They’re even planning meet-ups—conveniently on days we’re both at work.

Episode out now—prepare for some motherly wisdom, some home truths, and plenty of stories we probably didn’t want to hear.
