“Know your place. Keep your place. Be a shoe.” A movie about preordained positions in a class system, global warming, and the pursuit to try to get out of a system that keeps people down, Bong Joon Ho’s sci-fi/action movie was Beto’s choice this week. We’ve already talked about “Parasite” before and it was interesting to see how the ideas developed in this movie were elaborated upon more in Parasite. The themes and ideas presented in this movie are straightforward and just like “Parasite”, are a commentary on society, something that Bong Joon Ho excels at. Beto wanted to keep the theme with our drink this week and we had Mikes Hard Freeze (lol), a fruity alcoholic beverage, reminiscent of slushies on a hot summer day!
