Picture this: you're at a bar, a kickback, or a party and you're a few drinks in. Everyone is having a conversation and you're the person that asks, "hey, have you seen *insert movie name here*?" That's how we got inspired. We are here to provide the buzzed, candid AND critical conversations about movies that we love (and eventually ones that our guests love).

This week, we tackle Beto’s choice, Bong Joon-ho’s award winning black comedy/thriller. We talk about the motifs, the symbolism and the reality of the effects of capitalism and the climb out of poverty and we also talk about the conflict between classes, but mostly about the poor against the poor. Who is really the parasite in this movie? Does the ending signify hope or does it highlight the dreadful reality of what it takes to achieve wealth? We paired this with Soon Hari Soju which, if you have a sweet tooth and a knack for high ABV beverages, is right up your alley with a variety of fruit flavors at 12% ABV.
