But there’s something ancient and grounding about the sound of thunder and rain. A natural rhythm that helps even the most restless minds find rest.


Why does this help?


Because storms are predictably unpredictable. The steady rain forms a soft, consistent backdrop—while occasional thunder adds texture, without overstimulation.

For someone with ADHD, that mix can be incredibly soothing. Unlike total silence, which can trigger restlessness, or fast-paced noise, which can feel chaotic—rain and thunder offer the perfect middle ground.
