In an extraordinary time like this, we all ask questions that we ignore or don't have time for in our ordinary everyday life. As a someone who asked those questions when I was going through a dark time and found the answer in Jesus, I would like to tell you our stories, our beliefs, our answer to those questions in a series of conversations with my friends and neighbors and show you why we are so confident in the answer we found. My hope is that you can also find the answer to those questions. Facebook.com/brokeninpeace

Broken In Peace
Episode 10 Maggie Erickson

I must admit that it was hard for me to carry the conversation for this interview. I felt deeply uncomfortable asking questions to her. ‘Who am I to ask all these questions about her personal life?’ I kept asking myself in my head. The fact is that she has a lot to boast about her life yet she agreed to do this podcast to talk about her private moments. We all know that everyone of us has stories that we do not want to revisit. How was Maggie able to share her personal stories with us? Is it her personality? Is there a personality that makes one numb to pain and suffering? I believe it is because she experienced agape love. And out of that love came an act of love.

This is her testimony and an invitation to that kind of love. “Love others,” Jesus said and love others, she does.

Maggie Erickson is the owner of SilverTree Jewelry.

Broken In Peace
Episode 9 Miguel Chavis

To me, Miguel was a big buy with a big smile. He was always smiling, always kind and friendly, and even meek at times. I knew he loved Jesus but I did not realize how much he loved Jesus until this conversation. With every answer, it was obvious how much time and thoughts he had put into learning Jesus' teaching and how much he yearned to follow Jesus. I thought he was a football coach, who loves Jesus but I was wrong. In this conversation, he showed me that he is a Jesus follower, who is a football coach.  Miguel Chavis is a former defensive lineman and a current defensive player development coach for Clemson. He is the husband of Megan and the father of two sons and soon to be born twin girls.

Episode 5 Tom Campbell III

When I think of Tom Campbell III, the word, patriarch, comes to my mind first. Maybe because I am a single man with no children, but, to me, he has achieved a great deal just by having his family. I had a privilege of spending time with his family over the thanksgiving meal last year and have witnessed at first hand how great job he has done with his family. So when I interviewed him, maybe I was looking for that secret sauce for parenting. However, after hours of interview, it felt somewhat flat. It didn’t feel arrived. Then when I listen to our conversation again to edit, it hit me. He was giving me the same answers. He was pointing to someone the whole time.

There’s not much we can do apart from God. Have a relationship with Jesus.

This is the wisdom from a man who grew up in Clemson when Clemson had no traffic light. Hope you enjoy…
