The midterms and your money

The mid-terms took place this week and at the time this episode of BreakNbread was downloaded we still don’t have all of the results.  Meanwhile, Florida, who was once ridiculed for the states handling of the vote count between then Vice President Al Gore & Presidential candidate George W. Bush is now providing one of the fastest turnaround time for election results. Part of this is due to  passing legislation that allows local counties to start counting mail-in ballots 22 days before election day.

But it doesn’t stop there. State law also requires early voting ballots, be counted the day before election day.

Finally, the results from early voting must be posted within 30 minutes of poll closing.  This translates into election results the day of the election.

BreakNBread contributor  Jose Angeles joins me on this episode of BreakNBread as we also discuss the stock market, as well as new plans that just went into effect to post the salary of your job.  We also discuss layoffs by big tech and ask the question, did Sheryl Sandberg’s departure from Meta have a ripple affect which prompted layoffs? Also, the I.R.S has plans for your wallet.  If you think that’s scary, if you invested with FTX your money nightmare has already begun.  We will investigate the rough week for bitcoin as we review politics, and your money streaming now on BreakNBread.
