Welcome to Boutique Digital Marketing! In this episode, hosted by Rita Saikali, a marketing professor and founder of Boutique Digital Marketing, we dive into the fascinating world of behavioral change and how it impacts your marketing strategies.
🎯 Understanding Consumer Behavior:
Rita explains that consumer behavior is at the core of marketing and encompasses all actions individuals take when considering, purchasing, using, or disposing of products, services, and ideas. Successful marketing hinges on understanding, predicting, and influencing these behaviors.
💡 Psychology's Role:
Behavioral change is deeply rooted in psychology, and marketers leverage this knowledge to create persuasive messages and experiences. By understanding human motivations and emotions, your messages become more compelling and relatable.
📚 Behavioral Change Theories:
Rita emphasizes the importance of behavioral change theories, models, and frameworks. These tools provide a systematic approach to understanding why people behave the way they do, helping you design effective marketing strategies.
🎯 Audience Segmentation:
Segmenting your target audience is vital. It involves breaking down your audience into smaller, manageable groups with similar needs and behaviors. Understanding their triggers, incentives, and emotional appeals is key.
🔄 Trans-Theoretical Model:
Rita introduces the Trans-Theoretical Model, which outlines six stages individuals go through during behavior change: pre-contemplation, contemplation, preparation, action, maintenance, and termination. Not everyone is ready to take immediate action, so tailored interventions are crucial.
🔁 Non-Linear Progress:
Behavior change isn't always linear; people may move back and forth between stages. Recognizing this helps you provide ongoing support throughout their journey.
🎯 Behavioral Selection:
Identifying specific target behaviors is essential for marketing campaigns. What actions or changes will lead to the desired outcomes? Define your call to action clearly.
🎯 Setting SMART Goals:
Once you've identified target behaviors, set SMART goals: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. For instance, increasing physical activity could be walking briskly for 30 minutes, 5 days a week, for 3 months.
Join us in this episode as we explore the world of behavioral change and discover how to use it to supercharge your marketing efforts! Don't forget to like, subscribe, and share this valuable information with fellow marketers and business owners.

In this episode we interview the founder of Labne By Lulu, and we discuss ways of writing a mission and vision statement, and the importance of a domain name,
Vision Statement
A vision statement can be such a buzzword in today’s business world, so it may seem like this big confusing thing; however, it is actually quite simple. A vision statement is the company’s outlook for its future. In other words, where is the company headed?
Mission Statement Your mission statement differs from a vision statement in that it provides tangible goals to abstract concepts. It defines the product or service you are offering, as well as your target market. It also identifies the problem or passion that your company focuses on.
What is a domain name?
A domain name is the name you choose to use for your website. For example at Boutique Digital Marketing, our domain name is Boutiquedigitalmarketing.com. Although ours does, your domain name does have to be the same as your business and it does not have to end with .com, it could end with other things like .org or .net. If you do decide to deviate from .com, keep in mind that, due to its popularity, most people end up typing .com anyways.
No matter which one you choose to go with, the domain name should be related in a way that people can easily link it back to your business and its functions.

Now that you have those, now it is time to sell that product or service. So, something that you must consider is the accessibility of your product to your desired customer.
Here is the thing, we live in a world where almost everything is on demand, and user experience is highly important. In fact it is a major focus point of digital designs. So, in a world that is filled with instant gratification, your products or services need to have a similar experience when it comes to accessibility.
Think about all the times you clicked off of a website because it was taking too long to load.
Well, that would mean that the product you were looking to buy, or the content you had wanted to look at was not as accessible as you had hoped. As a result, you decided that it was not worth your time or your efforts.
