Falling in love is a thrilling, transcendent experience . . . but what about staying in love? Once the intense excitement of a new relationship starts to fade, you may think your only options are to somehow recapture that early magic or settle for a less than fulfilling love life. Now love, sex, and relationship expert Laura Berman, Ph.D., taps the latest scientific and metaphysical research to offer an inspiring alternative: a higher level of love beckoning you to move forward, not backward. Using the essential truth we’ve learned from the study of quantum physics—the fact that at our molecular core, each of us is simply a vessel of energy—Dr. Berman explains how you can use what’s happening in your inner world to create a level of passion, connection, and bliss in your relationship that you’ve never imagined possible. Drawing on her clinical practice and case studies as well as her personal journey, she guides you to: •Plot your unique energetic frequency of love with her Quantum Lovemap •Work consciously with the energy of your body, heart, and mind •Make four key commitments designed to raise your energetic profile •Bring your frequency into harmony with your partner’s so that you can grow together •Learn how to have Quantum Sex (which is every bit as good as it sounds)Quantum Love is the best possible experience of love, and it’s available to absolutely everyone, whether you’re seeking a mate, in a relationship that’s struggling, or just finding that love has turned lackluster through the stresses of life. You can’t go back to the honeymoon phase, but there is something so much better within your reach. Quantum Love lets you reach new heights of intimacy as you gain a fuller sense of purpose in life and love.

Two systems drive the way we think and make choices, Daniel Kahneman explains: System One is fast, intuitive, and emotional; System Two is slower, more deliberative, and more logical. Examining how both systems function within the mind, Kahneman exposes the extraordinary capabilities as well as the biases of fast thinking and the pervasive influence of intuitive impressions on our thoughts and our choices. Engaging the reader in a lively conversation about how we think, he shows where we can trust our intuitions and how we can tap into the benefits of slow thinking, contrasting the two-system view of the mind with the standard model of the rational economic agent.
Kahneman's singularly influential work has transformed cognitive psychology and launched the new fields of behavioral economics and happiness studies. In this path-breaking book, Kahneman shows how the mind works, and offers practical and enlightening insights into how choices are made in both our business and personal lives--and how we can guard against the mental glitches that often get us into trouble.

Throughout the author’s career as a banker and business consultant, he has seen many examples of businesses that were doing just “fine.” They were profitable and growing slowly but surely, but then, the business owner decided that it wasn’t enough anymore to simply grow slowly. What was suddenly needed was growth of 20%, 50%, or even 100% per year, just like the notable companies they see and hear about every day in the media. They began to try to grow the business and in a short period, a profitable and thriving business became unprofitable. Since the business was no longer profitable, it needed to take on debt to pay its expenses. After taking on more and more debt, the business reached a point where it could not find any more debt to take on. This circumstance caused the business to fail to pay its bills anymore which led to a financial day of reckoning.

Smashing Modern Idols. Pointing People Back to Jesus.
As a child, I was pretty convinced I had the Bible and Christianity all figured out. I knew all the answers, was obsessed with apologetics and creationism—so much so that I even started my own nonprofit—and I loved telling people they were wrong. My faith was mostly in my head, where a sense of certainty tied me to Jesus more than love.
I wanted to be the Christian version of everything (Christian lawyer, Christian politician, etc.). But eventually, I settled on becoming a Bible major so I could teach the correct view of Scripture to other Christians who would go out and inhabit the other fields. But as I pursued a Bachelor's in Biblical Studies and later a Master of Theological Studies (at a conservative Christian school, mind you), I quickly realized how little I actually knew.
I started encountering the Bible in a whole new way—learning to ask it questions on its own terms, rather than trying to force it to answer the modern issues I wished it would. That shift opened my eyes to a new vision of faith: one centered on Jesus, not on bashing people over the head with a Bible.

In his signature larger-than-life style, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Total Recall is a revealing self-portrait of his illustrious, controversial, and truly unique life.
The greatest immigrant success story of our time.
His story is unique, and uniquely entertaining, and he tells it brilliantly in these pages.
He was born in a year of famine, in a small Austrian town, the son of an austere police chief. He dreamed of moving to America to become a bodybuilding champion and a movie star.
By the age of twenty-one, he was living in Los Angeles and had been crowned Mr. Universe.
Within five years, he had learned English and become the greatest bodybuilder in the world.
Within ten years, he had earned his college degree and was a millionaire from his business enterprises in real estate, landscaping, and bodybuilding. He was also the winner of a Golden Globe Award for his debut as a dramatic actor in Stay Hungry.
Within twenty years, he was the world’s biggest movie star, the husband of Maria Shriver, and an emerging Republican leader who was part of the Kennedy family.

Pain is beautiful because it reveals what longs to be healed.
For years, I lived in the depths of my wounds, carrying the weight of unspoken pain. In just five years, I faced the brink of my own existence, attempted suicide, and emerged reborn—stepping into my power as a shaman and experiencing the profound light of enlightenment. This is my journey—raw, unfiltered, and deeply transformational.
Through the shadows of my past, I discovered an untapped reservoir of confidence, love, and self-worth waiting to be unearthed. Healing was not gentle—it was an initiation, a passage through fire that tested my very being. Only after enduring 35 years of debilitating lower back pain did I receive the wisdom above that would finally set me free.
This book is an invitation to walk beside me through the highs and lows of self-discovery. I lay bare my deepest emotions, my struggles, and the pivotal moments that shaped me. Six men entered my life—each one a mirror reflecting back my wounds, forcing me to confront them, transform them, and rise. They became my greatest teachers, my unexpected heroes.
If you've ever felt lost in your pain, uncertain of your worth, or trapped in the echoes of your past—this book is for you. May my journey awaken something within you, stirring your own healing, your own awakening.
Because within every wound, there is wisdom. And within every shadow, there is light.

From the author of How Emotions Are Made, a myth-busting primer on the brain in the tradition of Seven Brief Lessons on Physics and Astrophysics for People in a Hurry
Have you ever wondered why you have a brain? Let renowned neuroscientist Lisa Feldman Barrett demystify that big gray blob between your ears. In seven short essays (plus a bite-size story about how brains evolved), this slim, entertaining, and accessible collection reveals mind-expanding lessons from the front lines of neuroscience research. You’ll learn where brains came from, how they’re structured (and why it matters), and how yours works in tandem with other brains to create everything you experience. Along the way, you’ll also learn to dismiss popular myths such as the idea of a “lizard brain” and the alleged battle between thoughts and emotions—or between nature and nurture—to determine your behavior.
