This isn't a movie review podcast. Here we look at the cultural significance of what I call "white movies". Some of you may ask what is a white movie? Most American made movies are white movies. Made for and by white people. If you have trouble with that just think about what you would call a Black movie and why and then reverse it. White culture is so often overlooked, but movies are an artform that reflects culture and peoples thoughts and feelings about life. So what are these white movies saying about life and the people in America? That's what we're here to investigate.

FRANCHISE TALK: STAR WARS

Star Wars: Did the New Trilogy Miss the Mark?
In our latest episode, we dive into the galaxy far, far away for the very first time! Welcome to our own "Star Wars: Episode One." We explore the highs and lows of the new Star Wars trilogy and ask the burning questions: Did the new trilogy not include enough Skywalkers? Should it have mirrored the prequels a bit more and the original three a bit less? Was there enough tragedy to really make us care?

Join us as we navigate through the intricate lore, character arcs, and the ever-evolving legacy of the Skywalker saga. Whether you're a die-hard fan or just curious about the latest installments, this episode is packed with insights, debates, and, of course, a bit of WTF moments that you love from Unscripted Pivots.
