Bite Britain #007 - Janet Home of Henderson’s of Edinburgh
An Edinburgh institution, Hendersons has been on the map since 1962, originally started by husband and wife Mac and Janet Henderson as a way to distribute produce from their East Lothian farm.
Today the tradition and philosophy of Henderson’s continues, now topping a total of 4 Edinburgh locations, serving locally produced, organic vegetarian and vegan food.
With a number of awards under its belt including Best Vegetarian Business of 2019 from the food awards Scotland, it’s safe to say there is no sign of this institution slowing down.
Today I welcome Janet Home, one of the third generations of this amazing business, to the podcast.
