Proverbs 6 lesson: Take Action
"Give your eyes no sleep and your eyelids no slumber;"
- Proverbs 6:4
"save yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the hand of the fowler."
- Proverbs 6:5
When you’ve made a mistake and the correct action is clear to you... waste no time taking action.
This is valuable wisdom in this specific case of apologizing, and repenting, and then correcting course.
It’s also great advice for life in general. Once you know what you need to do... do it! Don’t worry about perfection or the chance of failure... frankly, figuring out the right thing to do is THE THING! Thats the hard part. Once you’ve decided... no need to waste sunshine! Get after it!
I want to embody this sentiment and I want to inspire my kids to take calculated risks. (The calculation should be is this thing worth doing? If the answer is yes, then go for it and learn from the success or failure).
