As cliche as it sounds, we want to reassure our fellow graduates, current students, and college-students-to-be that they are not alone in their experiences when it comes to “acting their age” and what is deemed the “norm”. Presenting to you our life experiences as real as it gets and you might find out that not everything is what society says it should be. Lost? Confused? You might not be the only one :)

Bringing back the 2000s?

Welcome back our dear listeners! Episode 9 already! Things are moving fast! Our topic for today was inspired by an interesting discovery Angela and I had during one of our recent hangouts in Shanghai. We decided to go on a vintage tour in the city, exploring all the vintage stores around Puxi. To our big surprise, the stuff in the stores was super expensive! Like 3 zeros worth of ka-ching price tags! And yet, many of these vintage styles and items we saw in the store were stuff we’ve seen in childhood. It’s as if the fashion of the 2000s came back again?

So that got the three of us thinking - if we’ve seen this in our childhood, can we still be considered Gen Z’s? By definition, we’re not Millenials either. It’s like we are stuck in the gap between the two: the late 90s liners – want to know what we’ve seen Just as our title says. “Bringing back the 2000s?” Ready or not, let’s dive in!
